Islam Today International Conference (ITIC)

The Islam Today International Conference is a recurring global academic and intellectual forum. The conference brings together researchers, scholars, scientists, professionals, experts, and public intellectuals from diverse disciplinary, geographical, and methodological backgrounds to examine the historical depth, contemporary relevance, and evolving interpretations of Islam in the modern world.

The central aim of the conference is to explore the reciprocal relationship between classical Islamic thought and institutions—including jurisprudence, philosophy, governance, education, and social organization—and the modern global order. It seeks to assess how Islamic intellectual traditions have historically shaped political, legal, economic, and cultural developments beyond the Muslim world, and how modern forces—such as the nation-state, globalization, secular governance, technological change, and shifting social norms—are influencing contemporary interpretations of Islam and the functioning of Islamic institutions today.

By fostering rigorous scholarly dialogue across traditions and disciplines, the conference provides a neutral and intellectually open platform for scientific inquiry, comparative analysis, and constructive debate. It is committed to academic excellence, pluralism of perspectives, and engagement with both historical sources and contemporary realities.

The Confernece is held annually in the fall; look for details in RSSPE Community Announcements, updated in February. Pre-announcement submissions are accpeted through the form below.
